On Sunday, February 26, 2017, she was invited to speak at the National Governor’s Association Winter Meeting in Washington, DC with First Lady of Virginia, Dorothy McAuliffe . Her speech provided in depth insight on the importance of national volunteerism.
As an AmeriCorps member Tammie was invited to speak with White House Cabinet officials on the importance of volunteerism.
In 2013 and 2015, she was a speaker for Dwight C. Jones Mayor’s Day of Recognition in Richmond, VA to honor current and previous AmeriCorps members for their dedication to the community.
